Making things even stranger...I love your paragraph:<br />Making things even stranger, consumption isn’t directly tied to wellbeing. Since the 1970s, corporate globalization has promoted the myth that people in developing countries will become healthier if they consume more like us. I suspect that most of us still buy into some version of this.<br /><br />I had bought into this without thinking, though I have long thought capitalism bonded to government is bad and inequality must shrink. Whatever hurts one of us hurts all of us.<br /> <br />Developing countries do need reliable food, shelter, transportation, communication, education especially, and more. Big business that ignores finite resources is not the answer though.<br /><br />As an Albertan and a US citizen, I cringe at our environmental politics. There is another way that does not cement capitalism to government with money.<br /><br />Please keep writing, and may many more come to see the light before it is too late.annakshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12795472803172831859noreply@blogger.com
